Standard TC connector
Temperature sensors used in adverse environments are prone to corrosion and mechanical damage. The use of connectors allows for quick, error-free replacement. They are also used for connecting extension or compensating wires to a thermocouple.
Here you will find a range of standard thermocouple connectors (both jacks and plugs) that are suited for wires up to 1,6 mm and insulated cables up to 8 mm. The connectors are manufactured using thermocouple alloys for accurate readings and measurements in the thermocouple circuit assembly. The standard connector options include:
● 2, 3 or 4 pin
● locking connectors (prevents disconnection due to vibrations)
● high temperature and ultra-high temperature mini connectors
All standard thermocouple connectors are made in a range of materials and specifications to match the various thermocouple types. The standard color codes such as NFE, BS and JIS apply. Different materials are used to offer a broad range of temperatures some examples include:
● glass filled thermoplastic (200°C)
● nylon, budget alternative to thermoplastic (200 °C)
● thermoset compounds (350°C or 540°C)
● ceramic material (650°C)
