Terminal blocks
Terminal blocks are high-temperature connectors for the wires between an extension cable and a temperature sensor. Limatherm produces terminal blocks in a variety of designs:
● standard
● spring loaded
● explosion- proof (ATEX)
A specialized ceramic is used called steatite which has a number of unique characteristics perfectly suited to terminal block manufacture. Steatite is high-density, offering compression strength yet still maintaining elasticity. Also the dielectric strength is good and it has excellent flame and temperature resistance, up to 1000ºC.
