Copper conductors

Mineral insulated RTD cable with copper conductors is a common choice for temperature measurements up to 400°C. Copper conductors have a very stable resistance versus temperature correlation.

The lead wires are insulated from each other and from the outer sheath by magnesium oxide. From the conductor metals used, the copper metal element performs the best linearly. Mineral insulated RTD cables have bendable properties which makes it possible to easily install at sites with many bends.
