Syalon tubes

Tubing offers protective housing for thermocouples and RTD sensors. Syalon ceramic tubes are ideal for corrosive environments and/or applications where thermal stability is essential. Often stainless steel alloy tubing is a suitable, standard choice. However, in highly corrosive environments, and in environments containing molten metals, Syalons (a ceramic based alloy) has a longer lifespan and even better chemical stability. Syalon is a silicon nitride (Si3N4) ceramic with excellent mechanical strength and outstanding resistance to thermal shock and corrosion. It can be used in environments where constant temperatures do not exceed 1000°C.

Kamet’s Syalon tubes are closed on one end and available in a range from 16mm to 28mm. For more background and information on tubes see our product pages and FAQ.
